Unleash the clarity and detail of your audio system with the advanced audio calibration.  The transformation is often amazing!

In addition to the services included in the home theater setup, each speaker's frequency response will be measured with a calibrated pro grade mic, spatially averaged across all listening positions, and equalized to the highest precision allowed by your receiver or pre/pro.  Bass management is optimized by real measurements, with power handling and distortion taken into account.

The Audyssey Pro calibration is available for higher end to flagship Denon, Onkyo/Integra, Audyssey, and NAD components.  It takes Audyssey MultEQ to a much higher level of accuracy and flexibility, unlocking more processing power in the process.  If you have an Audyssey Installer ready component, this will give you the most detailed and accurate calibration available in the industry.  The calibration cost includes the Audyssey licensing fee.

For other systems (including YAPO, MCACC, and others), the advanced audio calibration utilizes the manual room equalization capabilities included in most late model receivers and pre/pros to give a startling improvement over the normal auto setup routines.  RplusD software with calibrated microphone is used to measure and analyze each speaker. Multiple listener locations can be spatially averaged. This utilizes my audio skills more than the Audyssey Pro calibration, requiring manual interpretation of the results and skill in implementing the corrections.  I equalize to a "house curve", with a specific high frequency rolloff and slightly elevated bass, and this can be modified to suit individual preferences.

  • Optimize and check system wiring, source settings, phase, and speaker placement
  • Set bass management, delay times, and other settings on your receiver or pre/pro
  • Measure spatially averaged (multi-point) frequency response of each speaker, including sub (s) and surrounds, and manually adjust any equalization capabilities in the receiver, pre/pro, or any add on equalizers

JUST HAD TO SEND YOU AN E-MAIL REFERENCE THE CALIBRATION, THE HOME THEATER IS MUCH BETTER, GREAT EVEN, HOWEVER YOU DIALED IN THE VANDERSTEEN 2C'S TO PERFECTION, THEY ARE NO LONGER SMEARED AND VERY LISTENABLE "STRANGELY" THE LISTENER FATIGUE I MENTIONED TO YOU IS MUCH MUCH LESS NOW(I CANNOT EXPLAIN IT) YOU SAID I WOULD NOTICE A DRAMATIC DIFFERENCE-- IT WAS AN UNDERSTATEMENT, APPARENTLY MY LOVELY ADCOM WAS THROWING OFF THE VANDERSTEENS MORE THAN I COULD IMAGINE. ALL I CAN SAY IS THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, FROM ONE HIGH END LISTENER TO ANOTHER.

...Something I didn't know is that he also performs audio calibrations. He explained the procedures and I agreed to have him do it. The results were absolutely mind-boggling. Even though I always thought that my modest home theater sounded good his calibration made it sound like an entirely different system. The improvement was immediate. The balancing was perfect and the blending of the bass from the subwoofer with the other speakers made a huge improvement. In fact, when he was finished he used a THX demo disc to play the THX opening sequence (The Audience is Listening) and the Star Wars pod race. This was the first time I felt like I was in the stadium rather than watching it on a TV. I now have a TV that looks fantastic  and an audio system that sounds unbelievable. I can easily recommend Chad to anyone who is looking to have their TV (and maybe their audio system) calibrated.

Chad, my wife and I want to express our sincere appreciation and gratitde for your professionalism and hard work yesterday. You are quite an asset to the ISF calibration community!!

Chad also calibrated my 5.1 surround sound audio system. My speaker placement was completely off--and he helped me remount speakers where they needed to go. In addition, he explained to me how the calibration worked--and suggested I get a new subwoofer if I wanted to hear some of the super low frequency sounds, that my current subwoofer was unable to reproduce. He was surprisingly just as knowledgable in the audio arena as he was in the video :) Overall, Chad has turned my mediocre living room theatre into the "budget king" theatre that rivals more expensive setups.
